Canada/USA Mathcamp

Canada/USA Mathcamp

Canada/USA Math Camp is a five-week intensive (but fun) residential math program for teens who LOVE math. Approximately 120 students 60/40 new/returning campers come together on a college campus to learn, share and explore. There’s a very high return rate, so they are obviously doing something right! If you are a teen who excels in math and wants to be around other highly motivated students (and teachers/grad students), this is a great opportunity.

“Canada/USA Mathcamp is an intensive 5-week-long summer program for mathematically talented high school students, designed to expose these students to the beauty of advanced mathematical ideas and to new ways of thinking.

More than just a summer camp, Mathcamp is a vibrant community, made up of a wide variety of people who share a common love of learning and passion for mathematics. At Mathcamp, students can explore undergraduate and even graduate-level topics while building problem-solving skills that will help them in any field they choose to study.

We invite applications from mathematically talented students aged 13 to 18. Each summer, we enroll approximately 65 new students and 55 returning alumni. New students are admitted based on their Qualifying Quiz, personal essay, recommendation letters, and mathematical experience.”

HOT TIP: Math is everywhere these days, and if you are great at it you are way ahead of the game. Selective summer math programs are a GREAT way to learn and show your stuff against other top math students. This is especially important if you are interested in studying math in college!
